Youth Nutrition & Training Program

Built to support the whole athlete, combining high-level physical training with essential wellness education to help athletes reach their full potential.

Designed specifically for youth athletes, this dynamic program focuses on key athletic components that directly enhance performance — including agility, speed, footwork, core strength, power, and conditioning. Each session is high-energy, age-appropriate, and structured around a weekly performance theme such as explosive movement, reaction time, or full-body strength circuits. Every workout concludes with focused conditioning to simulate game-ready endurance and resilience.

In addition to physical training, the program emphasizes athlete wellness, introducing foundational concepts in health, nutrition, recovery, and daily habits. Players will learn how proper fueling, hydration, sleep, and mindset contribute to performance, injury prevention, and long-term development. From learning how to fuel properly before games and practices to understanding hydration, recovery nutrition, and daily meal balance, athletes gain the tools they need to make smart choices off the ice.

Our goal is to build confident, well-rounded athletes by instilling strong movement patterns, promoting healthy lifestyle choices, and fostering a positive, supportive training environment.

Teen Nutrition & Training Program

Help your teenager become stronger, healthier, and more confident- on and off the playing surface.

The training portion allows individuals to build agility, speed, strength, power, and endurance through high-energy, age-appropriate workouts. Each session focuses on performance themes like explosive movement, reaction time, and conditioning.

The in-classroom portion combines discussion-based learning and applied tools focused on nutrition, sleep, training recovery, and healthy lifestyle habits.The goal is to create confident, well-rounded athletes with the tools to succeed both on and off the playing surface.

Participants will learn how to set achievable goals, fuel for performance, and build a sustainable foundation for success — both in sport and beyond.

The Adult Lifestyle & Wellness Sessions are designed for adults (18+) looking to feel better, move better, and live healthier.

Each session covers practical, easy-to-apply strategies around nutrition, fitness, sleep, stress management, and everyday wellness habits.

Whether your goal is to boost energy, improve performance, or simply build a healthier lifestyle, these interactive sessions provide the tools and guidance to help you get there — one small change at a time.

Parent Nutrition Drop-In Sessions

The Parent Nutrition Sessions are designed to empower parents with practical tools and confidence to support their child’s nutrition and overall health.

Each week features a new, discussion-based topic — from navigating picky eating and family meal planning to grocery shopping 101, healthy meal prep, and making smart food choices on the go.

These sessions are a welcoming space to learn, ask questions, and gain real-world strategies that make fueling your family easier and more sustainable.

Wellness Pop-Up Events

Our Warrior Wellness Events bring the community together once a month for an interactive and inspiring experience focused on health, nutrition, and lifestyle development. Each event features a fun, hands-on activity, nutritious food and/or beverages, and engaging education on topics like performance fueling, mental wellness, leadership, and building healthy habits that last.

Team Development Sessions

Designed to educate and empower athletes through interactive discussions on nutrition, leadership, and overall well-being. Each 1-hour session provides teams with practical tools and insights to strengthen their physical, mental, and social health — helping athletes become more resilient, confident, and well-rounded.

 

Topics include how to be a great teammate, leadership and communication skills, mental health awareness, and nutrition strategies to fuel performance. Coaches are encouraged to attend and engage as part of the learning experience, creating a united and growth-oriented team culture.

Coaches Power Hour

The Warrior Coaches Power Hour is a monthly virtual session designed to empower coaches with the tools and knowledge to lead at their best. Each hour focuses on practical, discussion-based education around leadership, communication, nutrition, player support, and personal coaching development.

 

Through interactive conversation and shared experience, coaches will strengthen their ability to build team culture, support athlete well-being, and continue evolving in their own professional growth.

Meet Our Staff

Quinn McCarthy

Hockey Development Coach

Quinn’s life has been hockey, hockey, hockey — starting at age 3 and continuing through club teams, junior hockey, college, and now coaching. After playing for top programs like the Boston Jr. Terriers, South Shore Kings, and Islanders Hockey Club, Quinn went on to play four years of college hockey at Nichols College while earning a degree in business administration.

Trained under elite strength and conditioning coaches who work with NHL players and Team USA athletes, Quinn brings a wealth of knowledge to the Warrior Ice Arena Off-Ice Program. His mission is to help athletes of all levels reach their full potential with targeted workouts, conditioning, and performance tips — giving young athletes the tools to train hard, stay strong, and take their game to the next level.

Morgan Trimper

Nutrition Educator

Morgan is a health and nutrition educator dedicated to helping individuals and communities lead healthier, more balanced lives. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science & Human Nutrition with a minor in Psychology from the University of Maine and a Master’s degree in Leadership & Administration from Boston College.

A former Division I Women’s Ice Hockey player, Morgan combines her athletic experience with expertise in nutrition and wellness. She founded the Nutrition & Lifestyle Program at Warrior Ice Arena, designing and delivering programs for athletes, families, and the community.
